Registered Name: Crazy Assault Barn Name: Jep Age: 2 Breed: Throughbred Color: Bay Markings: White strip Height: 16.2 Occupation: Racing Gender: colt Personality: He is easily spooked and he is whip shy. He also is head shy. History: He is alittle bigger than his half sister, Joyful Assault. They both have the same sire, Ill Assault, but Jep's dam is Wild Time both dam and sire have earned over $600k in earnings. Although he was in a different home and he was sold twice. He was treated forcefully and he started to become ruined. Now he stands in the back of his stall revolting at anyone who tries to tack him up or get him out of the stall. He has never ever been in contact with his sister and has never raced before. Pics: i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb224/xxshadowxx012/CA.jpg

Jep reared and striked violently trying to shake off the halter and lead. Four grooms had leads on his halter trying to control him and Jep comes down from the wieght of the grooms. Jep was quivering and tense, suddenly one of the grooms smacked Jep. Jep freaked and whinnied frightenedly, and his eyes roll showing the white's of his eyes. He wanted the halter off and he began to buck to get the grooms away from him. The grooms move out of the way but they kept a hold of the leads.
The auctioneer sighed and awaits for the grooms to get the colt under control. He watches and he says, "Just take off the halter!" The grooms take off the halter and Jep runs from the grooms on the farside of the ring. He was quivering and sweat was visible on his sides. He lowers his head and shakes his head. The Auctioneer starts, "This is Crazy Assault, his dam is Wild Time, and his sire is Ill Assault. Both of his parents have earned over $600,000 in earnings, and has never raced before. The starting bid is $4,000."

Riley walked back from the holding pens and sat in the stands once again she wanted just one more horse to finish her racing string unless another horse caught her eye. She studied the colt in the arena now he was lathered in sweat. She watched his movements they were smooth and flawless but she didn't care about his attitude some of the most ill mannered horses were the best racers. She watched for a second $4000 didn't seem like a bad price. She sat there contemplating for a second before raising her number.

Jep stood in the corner of the ring with his head dipped low. He snorts and his breathing begins to calm. He watches the grooms wearily and cautiously. The auctioneer saw a number raise and says,"I got 4,000. 5,000 anyone?" As he saw no one come forth and raise their number he says,"Going once, twice, sold!" The grooms walked towards the colt and Jep bolts around them. The grooms groan and run after him. Jep skids into a corner and he bumps his rump on the fence. The grooms took a hold of his head and eventually got on the halter. They led him back to a holding stall and they took off the halter. They closed the door and walked off. Jep lowered his head and walked into the corner of the stall.

Riley walked from her seat to the holding pens for the second time that day. She had her halter on her shoulder. Her worn boots hit the floor in synch as she hurried down to the holding area. She saw the stall they'd put the colt into. She smiled he was a looker a little spirited but a looker none the less. She walked up to the stall door finally getting a good look at him. She stood there for a second just studying him.

He kept his head low and he didn't turn around. He just stood there and then he finally turned his head to see a woman. He never really was handled by females and usually he was smacked. He stood and watched her. He moved to see her better, but he stayed out of reach.

She didn't want to make the horse any worse off then he was. She could tell he'd not been handled carefully in his life. She sighed and watched him carefully and unlatched the stall door. Hopefully it wouldn't take her very long to halter him. She stood in the door frame for a second allowing him to get used to her presence.

He was suprised, because usaully he was held down and haltered, but she seemed to take her time. He got a better view of her and he sighed. He slowly walked alittle closer and he decided to trust the female. He walks within reach and stands still quivering.

She talked quietly to him not trying to frighten him. She'd seen how horses were treated on the track and she also saw it changed them. She wasn't one to be mean just to get a horse to listen she'd learnt taking your time and being patient caould create a good race horse and not to mention all around good horse. She pulled the leather halter off her shoulder and walked forward toward the horse preparing to slip the new leather halter over his head.

He stood still and he flinched when she took the halter off her shoulder. He lowered his head and he didn't move from the spot he stood.

She slipped the halter over his head and smiled. She thought to herself he's probably so tired from caring on in the rink. Poor boy. She stepped forward a little toward the door and swung it open. She looked back at the colt.

His head still lowered he walked out the door slowly, and decided not to put up a fight. He walked out into the aisle and towards the door.

Riley walked the horse out of the barn and toward her trailer slowly opening the doors and clucking for him to enter.
