A pair of grey-blue eyes scanned the shelves of horse merchandise. The grazed over everything from saddle soap to martengales, as though waiting for something, nothing in particular, to catch their attention.
Ian sighed and ran a hand through his dirty blond hair. It wasn't often that he got the chance to spend extra money on something for himself, considering he didn't have a lot in the first place, yet whenever the chance did come around, he always found himself stopped up as to what to get. He ran through a list of items in his head, trying to remember if there was something specific he needed.
Fly sheet? Nope, unnecessary. Flash noseband? That would work, if he had a horse who needed one. New breeches? His old pair suited him just fine. Video on training racehorses? He had enough of those already. Western Cowboy boots? Okay, he was really losing his mind.
He let out a frustrated groan. As much as he loved the place, tack shops often became overwhelming. With another sigh, he picked up a foal-sized halter, running his hands over the tiny straps of leather. On impulse, he walked over the the counter, putting the halter down and pulling out his wallet. He might as well buy something that would give him something to look forward to in the future.

Ebon, maroon-tipped hair covered almost half of the young woman's face as she ran her hands over a black-leather racing saddle. A sigh left her mouth as she gazed deeply at the price tag as if it was going to change itself. $950? Should I buy it? The thoughts traced her mind as she picked up the saddle, Hard Spuin would love this... She held the piece of equipment in one hand as she shifted her gaze to the other items and objects in the shop, Maybe I should just buy him a new everything. Ebony couldnt help herself now, she reached out and ran her fingers over many bridles and cinches, choosing the ones that would be better for Spun. Finally, she made her way to the counter, a snaffle bit, bridle, and cinch laid neatly across the seat of the saddle. She halted herself behind the person that happened to be infront of her, she gazed out the nearest window to her black Ford truck, a white trailer attached to the back, she saw Spun sticking his head out of the small window of the trailer, she smiled, and chuckled lightly. Silly boy. She whispered, hoping that no one heard her. Since Spun's workout that morning, the sleek Thoroughbred stallion seemed to be doing something goofy. Ebony turned back to where she was waiting patiently to check out.

As Ian accepted the change that the sales lady handed him, tucking it away, his glance shifted to the window, spotting a bay horse goofing off inside it's trailer and hearing the near-silent whisper of words behind him. He turned around, a smile on his face. "Your horse?" He asked the girl as he stepped aside to let her take her turn at the counter.
{{ Argh. Sorry. Gawd-awful post. See what happens when I don't roleplay for a couple of days? XD }}

Ebony glanced up from gazing at the Thoroughbred stallion, she sent a quick smile to the sales clerk as she placed her things on the counter. Your horse? Her greyish gaze shifted to the man that stood infront of her. Yeah, he tends to act goofy after a nice workout... She replied breifly, a small smile curling up at her lips. She accepted the small bits of change from the clerk and took the two bags of tack in one hand. She walked forward a few steps and stopped, and looked over her shoulder. You can come visit him if youd like, he hasnt had company in a while now. She offered, and patiently waited for his response.

Ian laughed, shaking stray bits of hair out of his eyes. "I can see that." He answered, his gaze shifting from the girl to her horse outside. "And I'd love to come meet him. He seems like quite a character." He added, slinging his bag over his shoulder and walking after the girl. "My name's Ian, by the way. Ian James. I run a thoroughbred breeding and training facility with the help of my younger sister." He introduced himself, figuring that it seemed to be the polite thing to do.

Ebony brushed a hair from her face Ebony Flax, I run nothing, and so far, I work nowhere. She grinned and held open the door of the shop for Ian and ambling towards the white trailer once he was out. [Sorry if I sound like Im PPing there, Im not trying to!] She put her two bags on the black asphalt and lowered the ramp of the trailer. Hey buddy, you've got a visitor. She whispered and calmly backed him onto the pavement. He side-stepped slightly and gazed at her with large, hazel globes. She placed her hand on the bay's rippling shoulder, and with her other hand, pressed a carrot lightly to his twin kissers. Gratefully, the sleek Thoroughbred lipped the orange vegetable into his mouth, and quietly munched on it. Well, this is him, the one and only Hard Spun. She chuckled lightly and tied him to the outside of the trailer, and took the saddle and pad from one of the bags. Spun stepped away from the plastic object, and shifted his gaze to Ian, and curiously he reached his mug out. Ebony silently slid the pad and saddle onto the stallion's back, and secured it with a common racing girth. Next, she attached the reins and snaffle to a bridle and took a hold of the halter, and un-did it halfway, sliding it onto his neck. She slipped the bridle onto his elegant head, and adjusted a few of the buckles, he accepted the bit willingly, then turned his attention back to Ian. Ebony released the halter from the brute's boa, and held him by the reins. The stag stepped closer to the other two-legger, and nudged his shoulder gentely, his way of asking for a treat.
