Sjerko was let loose into the paddock and threw up her heels but not to long after the sun hit her dark bay coat making her look like an actual normal bay. Rebecca stood nearby holding Sjerko's halter and lead in her hand. The filly was so full of energy and for some reason looked like she was ready to do a two mile race if she could. Her legs were petite but then again that is why Sjerko got a funny name because she was born with the most unstraight legs any jockey, breeder, trainer, or owner could lay eyes on.
After a few months in the vet's office and on the road with casts the filly's legs straightened out nicely turning her into a runner and boy could she run. Her stride was quiet large for people and for her size. She could run the Preakness, Kentucky Derby, and the Belmont Stakes without stopping. She could gallop for a long time and her times were amazing.
Eventually the filly stopped kicking her heels up and just started to canter around the paddock. Rebecca noticed the filly's uncertaincy of the paddock and took her out back to her stall.
