The petite figure sat in the very first row of the stands. She was barely able to see over the high bar that surrounded the stands. Her emerald eyes followed the equines that occupied the track, her desire raging. Oh how she just wanted to be out there, controlling the tenacious creature beneath her. A small smile formed her lips as she daydreamed of such fantasies. Snapping out of her thoughts, she quickly fixed her gaze upon a new horse that entered the track. She studied the thoroughbred immediately, noting the nicely formed frame and the sleek physique. Her smile broadened as she watched the jockey mount swiftfully.
Mindlessly, Jazz pushed back her long bangs. Her weight shifted as she attempted to find a more comfortable spot on the steel seat. But the uncomfortable seating was nearly oblivious to her as she once again focused on the equines. Some traveled in pairs, and others simple went solo. Deciding to take a break from watching intentively, Jazz shifted backwards and leaned her back against the bleacher behind her.
ooc|| Sorry, it turned out sort of lame. . .

Her eyes had started to hurt. A lot. Askett had finally come to the realisation that watching racehorses all day wasn't exactly great, unless you wanted (for some unearthly reason) to strain your eyes. This time, her gaze was fixated upon the bay filly who trotted onto the track, guided by the experienced hand of her older brother.
"Talk about stressfull," she muttered to herself. Her eyes still not leaving the track, she lowered herself into one of the metal seats behind her. As she did this, she came to the conclusion that it wasn't only her eyes which were hurting. Both her leg and her butt hurt from falling off Allegro that morning. Oh well. Served her right for being on a racehorse in the first place after she'd been strictly warned away. She moved around, her butt searching for a more comfortable place on the hard steel. "Not the most luxurious place to sit, is it?" She said off-handedly to the girl next to her.
ooc:// ah, don't worry, we all have posts like that. I can't exactly say that mine was stunning XD

Jazz continued to watch the thoroughbreds; her focus shifted when she heard a voice. She turned her head, but proceeded to watch the equines for a moment longer. Her emerald eyes only briefly fell upon the stranger.
"Yeah. . .But it's as close as I can get. So it's worth it I guess."
Her long legs were tucked under the metal bleachers as she leaned forward just a few more inches. Compared to her body, her body was a bit short and her legs were a bit long. She was out of proportion, but it was an advantage to some points. Deciding to try and meet one person while she was here, Jazz turned her gaze back to the stranger.
"Do you have a horse out there?"
The young girl questioned, hoping her inquiry would spark a conversation. She shifted her weight again on the uncomfortable seating, glancing only briefly to the track.

"Definitly worth it," Askett murmered in agreement, for a minute completely focused on her filly before she turned to answer the girl's other question. "And yes, the bay filly down there is mine, Raffinato. And that's my brother on her back." She motioned with a hand at the pair, seeing Fina bit snatching attempts once more and covering up a laugh as she noticed the scowl on Ian's face.
Curious to learn more about her new companion, Askett threw out the next question. "Do you ride at all?" She asked, throwing an inquisitive look in the direction of the other young woman.

Once the woman had pointed out her horse, Jazz watched the bay equine on the track. She looked back to the woman as she asked her a question. A soft smile curved her lips as a surge of pride coursed through her body.
"I compete in eventing, but noting related to racing. I've always wanted to try steeplechasing. I've been trying to become a jockey though. . ."
Her strong determination was heard in her spoken words. Jazz looked back to the filly on the track. In her first few years of being introduced to the racing world Jazz had been envious. But so many people had told her she needed to be patient. There would be an opportunity that could take her to the top. Well, this theory was slowly fading, but it still urged her to keep pursuing this seemingly hopeless dream.

Askett narrowed her eyes, assessing the girl. The fact was, her barn needed some new exercise riders. Since she herself was unable to ride, they needed some new help. A single look told Askett what she needed to know. The girl looked extremely capable of controlling a horse, and considering she evented... the horse trainer made up her mind on the spot.
"Are you by chance interested in a job doing some exercise riding for me and my brother? We own a couple of racehorses and we're in need of a few new employees. Job is $110 per horse." She offered, patiently waiting for a response.

As the woman spoke again, Jazz glanced over at her. Was she just giving her this chance out of pity? No, no. She was truely interested, seeing how she gave her the pay and info. Her jaw dropped slightly, and she stammered a bit before putting forth an answer.
"Well, uh, I'd love to! It's just, I'm not the best rider."
Confessing the truth, Jazz pulled her gaze back to the track. As much as she tried, she hadn't been able to get everything down path. A soft sigh escaped her, she'd have to get the basic flat racing down before she could even think about steeplechasing.
ooc|| Gah! Sorry it took so long, I was at horse camp and it drained my muse.
