Registered Name: Joyful Assault Barn Name: Shera Age: 2 Breed: Thoroughbred Color: Dark Bay Markings: Strip Height: 16 hands Occupation: Racing Gender: Filly Personality: She is stubborn and high strung. She loves to run and hates being in small spaces. History: She has been through alot and most homes she was treated roughly. She is fairly small for a thoroughbred and is full grown. The only thing she has left of herself is her love to run! She doesn't like to walk and needs a strong jockey or she will take over. She is also half sister to Crazy Assault.
Shera held her head low and refused to move and just stood there. The grooms wanted her to move and they smacked her rump. She squealed and she lept into a canter dragging the grooms. She ran into the metal fence and backed up. The groom on the right side held onto the lead and grabbed her halter. The other groom did the same with his lead.
The auctioneer cleared his throat and he started off, "Ok ladies and gentlemen, here we have Joyful Assault. Her dam is Joyful Times, and her sire is Ill Assault. Her parents won over $600k in earnings, ok the starting bid is, $3,000!

Riley sat in the stands watching the beautiful filly. She smiled lightly and contemplated. Her last purchase had won a lot of money and she wanted to expand her farm. She looked at her number deciding weither or not to bid on the mare. She heard the $3000 starting bid and raised her number. There was just something about the mare she was drawn to.

Shera rears madly and backs up. She bears her teeth and one of the grooms smack her muzzle. Pain struck her and she jerked her head up. The groom yanks the lead and smirks. Shera backs up farther and trips one of the grooms. She then takes off to the other side of the ring and she runs along side the fence of the ring. The auctioneer saw the bid, and he says, "3,000. Anybody, 4,000?" He scans the crowd and then continued, "Going once, twice, sold!"
The grooms scramble after the filly and they pull her out of the ring. Shera revolted against them and beared her teeth. The grooms pull at her lead and get her into a holding stall. They take off the halter and leads and walk off. Shera circles the stall and freaks, she rears and kicks the sides of the stall. She charges the stall door hitting it and the whites of her eyes begin to show.

Riley walked from the stands and to the holding pens. She heard the loud commotion coming from the stall that appeared to house the mare she'd just purchased. She sighed she somehow always managed to get the misfits. She walked toward the stall and studied the mare closer but still from a distance not wanting to get to close. She pushed the halter higher on her shoulder.

Shera kicks at the stall door violently and whinnies shrilly. She rears and tries to charge the door again, but rears thistime and strikes the air madly. She hated small spaces and wanted out. Sweat covered her pelt and she had a cut on her right foreleg from kicking her stall. She continued to circle her stall and still violenty kicked the stall walls.

Riley walked toward the stall halter on her shoulder. She sighed and clucked to the mare. She heard the mare kick the stall again and sighed. She hoped the mare wouldn't hurt herself. She stood infront of the door and put her hand on the latch.
"Come here girl."

Shera saw the hand and shuttered from it. She saw the woman and she snorted. She slowly moves foreward and she inhales the foreign scent. She backs up and circles the holding stall. She walks up to the woman again and kicks the stall again.

She looked at the mare again and sighed she just wanted to get her out of the stall and to the farm then everything would be a lot easier. She glanced down the aisle way luckily no one was around. She grinned a little this was going to take patience but she'd faced the same thing with trenton when she'd purchased him. She looked at the mare just staying still to try to get her to relax.

Usually she would of been smacked by now and forced out of the stall. She loved being out of the stall and she always have hated small spaces. She loved to run and she always put her heart into running. She was getting tired and she almost collapsed, but she regained herself. She decided not to put up a fight, because she has had a long day. She slowly approaches the woman and stands there.

Riley looked at the mare. She was patient and kind a good strong jockey but never laid a hand on a horse. She slipped into the stall moving slowly she looked over the mare carefully smiling. She slipped the halter over the mares delicate head. She swung open the stall door.

She dug her heels into the ground as the filly took off holding onto the end of the lead rope. "Easy girl." She tried to settle the fily talking calmly to her.

She held the lead rope firmly heading toward the door with the filly to put her on the trailer so she could take her to her new home. She glanced down the aisle no one was around.
