Name: Treason's Bluff Age: 3 Breed: Thoroughbred Height: 16 hands Occupation: Racehorse Gender: Stallion Pic: ------------------------------------------------- The big bay equine stood still with his large dial over the stall door. His ears pricked forwards and orbs bright. The racehorse was used to the hustle and bustle around him, that greeted him every time he stepped out of his stall. Seeing the groom assigned to him and several other horses for sale walking towards them he snorted and called out to him happily, knowing the young man would have treats on him. His ears flicked as the young couple commented on his personality then backed away at the price. A young winner with the great lines was to much and they couldn't afford to take that big of a risk yet. The three people started towards the other horses and Treason's Bluff pulled his large dial back. Turning to his water bucket, dipping his large maw into the water and drinking deeply. Then the large stallion turned to his hay in to wait it out and see if he'd ever get a new home and another shot on the racetrack, to once again prove he could win and tower over all others. ------------------------------------------------- Price: (Admin Set It?)

The young woman looked over each horse, carefully considering her options. She knew not every horse had the ability to make a great racer with or without her, or anybody else's training. It was a fact, and if she wished to make herself known in her new home, she would have to choose a horse wisely. No more taking chances. Right now, she just couldn't afford them. But being her usual self Holly quickly changed her mind upon seeing Treason's Bluff. The bold stallion had the body to excel, making him a fine first purchase. But he would be pricey, that was for sure. Holly looked around, wondering for a brief second where she could inquire about him. Though she soon turned her attention back to the horse, studying him for a fault. There was nothing obviously wrong with him.

The horse glanced up and nickered softly seeing the girl. Having no fear of people he walked to the door and hung his broad head over it. He stretched his maw out to-wards her ears pricked. He stomped one shinny black hoof and snorted, a woof of warm air floating out to-wards the girl. His deep barrel heaved as he sighed and drew his head back, letting it still hang over the door. Deep brown eyes on the females figure.

How much you going for boy? She asked, her hand reaching up to slide across the white star stamped on his coat. Your a nice one huh? How'd ya like to come home with me? She was sure he would enjoy it, she didn't own any property at the moment, but she'd be interested in buying some if the chance arose. Even though she didn't live where he would be staying, she would be out there everyday, feeding if not working him. Plus he would get a great chance at showing her what he could do, there were lots of races he could enter, and she supposed that she could ride him herself if she couldn't find a jockey for him.

He nudged her hand and snorted softly, the warm carbon aimed at her hand. He stomped one large hoof onto the soft ground of his stall. Foot steps drew the stallions attention away from the girl and towards the groom who had left him just a few minutes before. He banged the stall door with one hoof and neighed loudly tossing his head as the groom held out a peppermint. ------------------------------ May I help you miss? The young stable boy asked with a bright smile.

Holly assumed that this boy was in charge of the stallion. Yeah, actually, I was just wondering how much he was? Although she was curious as to his lines, what blood was surging through him, as long as he was sound and passed her check overs he was good enough for her, she didn't care about his breeding right now.
((I think it's fine for you to make up a price))

$15,000. He answered and held on to the cheekstrap of the stallions halter. Would you like to see him out of the stall? He asked hoping she'd at least consider it. -------------------------------- He munched on the mint for a moment before nudging the boys shoulder. Returning to letting his head hang over the stall door as he felt the firm hand on his halter.

This made her stop in her tracks. $15 000 was a lot of money, and sure, she could afford it right now but what about in a couple of months when her money was running low, would he be brining in enough money to make up for it? She decided to give him a chance at least, he had to build to bring in some money, he looked like he had the heart to. He seemed to think a lot of himself, that could serve him well in the future. Yeah, sure She answered, once again looking over the stallion, wondering if he would be worth it in the long run. She had little doubt.

He pulled the leather lead rope from it's place by the door and clipped it onto the horse. As he opened the stall and led the prancing equine out he started to talk about the horses info. His name is Treason's Bluff. Trea is a three year old and has already started racing. He's got Storm Cat in his lines and a few other horses that did well on the track.
--------------------------
Trea snorted and flung up his head as if to prove he wasn't always such a sweet and gentle horse. He tugged on the line hoping this time he'd be going out and allowed to run again. He felt the groom tug on his lead and he broke into a slow and steady trot turning as they reached the end of the stalls, then passing back in front of the girl.

He moves nice She said quietly, watching for any sign of lameness, anything to turn her off him. But no, he seemed sound, and since when did she ask for more? Storm Cat huh? So even if he failed miserably, which, by his attitude, wasn't likely, he could be good for a stud at the very least. I'll buy him She said once the had come close again. Holly scolded herself for her harsh thinking, anyone in their right mind would be getting vet checks and riding him at least once, but she didn't care what he was like, anyone from Storm Cat must be ok and he had the looks to make him worth breeding. No real obvious conformation faults. Yeah, he was good enough for Holly, no doubts there. She brought out her check book, scribbling down what was necessary.

The groom nodded and pulled the horse up short watching a short pudgy man walking... or rather wadling towards them. There's his owner... or old owner now you can give him the check then I guess. He said and patted the horses neck as he glanced at Holly.
-------
The pudgy man glanced at Holly as if sizing her up then glanced at the horse. He ok? He almost barked at the groom setting the stallion on edge. He turned to Holly as the groom nodded. Can I help you?
-------------------
Trea snorted and his ears flicked back at the mans voice.

Holly was glad to be getting Treason away from the man. If they didn't enjoy their horses, or love horses, really, they shouldn't be around them. Yeah, actually I was just buying Treason here She handed the check to the man, and thought of her float, waiting not far from here. It would be long before Treason was grazing happily at a local stable.

He nodded gruffly and took the check. Sorry to see my biggest winner go but I'm sure he'll do fine. Just ask Alex here to show you where his tack is.

Ah, some sign of emotion, that's a start Holly nodded and with a slight smile she turned to Alex.
Well, there it was, she'd just bought her first horse. A racehorse too. She had to admit, he was a fine first purchase, and would no doubt be worth it.

Trea seemed to relax as the man left and nudged Alex's shoulder. Flicking his black tail as they started down to-wards the tack room. Getting more excited by the moment. ----------------- You wont have any trouble getting him to load, he'll think he's off to the races.Alex said with a almost sad smile. Clipping the stallion into a set of cross-ties expertly he disappeared into the small room and grabbed a blanket and travel boots. Putting them on a stack of hay out side the door he went back in for the rest of the horses tack.
